Arrival to San José
Day 1
A tu llegada a San José, un chofer privado te recibirá y te trasladará a tu hotel rodeado de exuberantes jardines tropicales.
Bagaces
Day 2 & 3
After breakfast, meet your private birding expert guide and begin your journey to the wetlands of Guanacaste. Take a private boat tour of Palo Verde National Park, home to hundreds of bird species. In the afternoon, explore the hotel’s nature trails with your guide.
Río Celeste
Day 4 & 5
Depart for the lush rainforest surrounding Tenorio Volcano National Park and the Rio Celeste area. Explore Tenorio Volcano National Park and Tapir Valley with your guide, looking for rare species in this biologically rich corridor.
Sarapiquí
Day 6 & 7
Transfer to the Caribbean lowlands, known for their dense biodiversity and proximity to key birdwatching areas. Explore the region’s top birding hotspots including La Selva Biological Station (OTS), a world-renowned site for tropical research and wildlife.
San Gerardo de Dota
Day 8 & 9
Depart to San Gerardo de Dota and the magical cloud forest, home of the resplendent quetzal. Spend the full day exploring forest trails around the lodge with your guide in search of the quetzal and other highland species.
Golfito
Day 10 & 11
Head to the South Pacific lowlands and check in at a remote rainforest lodge adjacent to Piedras Blancas National Park. Explore the trails and surrounding rainforest with your guide, home to toucans, trogons, and many tropical species.
San José
Day 12
On the way back to San José, stop for a guided visit to Carara National Park, a transitional forest rich in avian diversity.
